BBK #1771 - 2010 Camaro Cold Air Induction Systems - Chrome (Fits V8 SS models only)

Add 15 Horsepower, 10 Torque to the tires! Check out the dyno graphs!

These cold air intake systems for the new 2010 Camaro V8 can be installed in just minutes and are good for approximately 10-15 horsepower. They work very well with other power adders such as performance exhaust and performance throttle bodies.

These BBK Cold Air Intake Systems For the 2010 Camaro utilize high flow washable cotton element filters and are CAD designed for optimum airflow and Maximum Performance. All kits are vehicle specific and are designed as a direct bolt on using simple hand tools - For maximum performance with your car we recommend adding a throttle body and exhaust system. All kits are dyno tested with results of approx 10-15 hp improvement over stock.





BBK Cold Air Intake - Installation Video!

Every cold-air intake system, performance exhaust component, CNC-machined throttle body, intake manifold, and fuel system component from BBK is designed, manufactured, and thoroughly tested in the company's state-of-the-art 70,000 sq. ft. facility to ensure maximum drivability and performance. BBK even produces ride-enhancing suspension components to make the most of those power gains.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Tools required- Small flat screwdriver or pick, ¼” ratchet, 8mm, and 10mm sockets, T-20 Torx & 2.5mm Allen

Step 1 - Disconnect negative battery terminal.
Step 2 - Disconnect the plastic breather tube from the front of the passenger side valve cover
Step 3 - Unplug the mass air meter by squeezing the tab on the connector while pulling it from the mass air meter.
Step 4 - Loosen the hose clamp that attaches the inlet hose to the throttle body.
Step 5 - Remove the nuts that hold the air filter box to the driver fender apron.
Step 6 - Remove the stock intake hose/air box assembly from the vehicle by lifting the air box straight up and pulling the inlet hose away from the throttle body.
Step 7 - Remove the 2 Torx screws from the mass air meter and slide the meter out of the stock inlet hose, and then install it into the BBK inlet pipe using the supplied screws.
Step 8 - Place the supplied blue coupler hose over the throttle body opening and secure it with one of the supplied hose clamps.
Step 9 - Loosely place the remaining hose clamp over the blue coupler but do not tighten it at this time.
Step 10 - Place the supplied rubber grommet into the hole in the bottom of the inlet tube, then insert the supplied plastic elbow fitting into the grommet.
NOTE: The filter’s long silicone sleeve isolates the shield from the inlet tube.
Step 11 - Attach the supplied aluminum stud to the bottom of the shield using the supplied 1/4 -20 Phillips screw.
Step 12 - Slip the air filter through the shield. Place one of the supplied hose clamps over the end of the filter then push the inlet pipe/mass air meter assembly into the filter opening and tighten the hose clamp to secure the filter to the inlet pipe.
Step 13 - Drop the inlet pipe/mass air meter/ shield/ filter assembly into position by placing the round hole in the shield over the stud in the fender apron and slipping the inlet pipe into the blue coupler hose on the throttle body.
Step 14 - Tighten the hose clamp over the blue coupler hose to secure the inlet pipe to the throttle body.
Step 15 - Place the original air box rear mounting nut through the tab on the back of the shield and tighten it onto the factory stud.
Step 16 - Use the supplied rubber hose to connect the plastic fitting on the bottom of the BBK cold air tube and the metal tube at the valve cover where you disconnected the plastic tube from.
Step 17 - Re-connect the mass air meter, and negative battery terminal.
