By starting work early on with Hyperco, Paragon Performance helped create a lowering spring option for the C8 Corvette cars with Mag Ride, and with or without front lift.
*LOWERS 1 INCH ON ALL C8 CORVETTE CARS
The lowering spring kit offers 1 inch of lowering front and rear. Combine that with the factory adjust-ability of .75 inch lowering on Z51 cars you can achieve a total lowering of 1.75-2 inches on the Z51 cars. The spring is also 30% stiffer than factory giving increased handling without sacrificing low speed ride comfort. Cars that have front lift can use these springs and Paragon's lowering collars up front to achieve the same drop.
These have been specifically engineered to work with the factory shocks. Using 3D scanning technology the entire suspension was scanned, measured, and studied. This resulted in a spring that works with the factory shocks to maintain correct geometries while lowering the vehicle and increasing handling. Anything beyond what these springs offer would require an entire new set up, much like aftermarket coilovers.
Mag Ride Socket
This socket is more than likely needed for your install. Some shops may have this socket already but most people do not as it's a specialty tool. Be sure to watch the install video below to see if you need this or not.
De-Pin Tool
This tool makes de-pinning the connector on mag ride cars much easier. You can still do it without this tool, but be prepared to be frustrated for about 15-20 mins while you fiddle with other small flat heads to try and de-pin the connector.
Collars
The Front Lift Lowering Collar is for front lift C8 Corvettes and will allow you to lower your car like other Z51 cars that do not have the front lift option. Combined with the factory rear adjustable collars you can achieve the same factory lowering capabilities as other Z51 C8 Corvettes.
Shims
We have added the option for a 3/8" riser shim to be paired with the collars. This will allow people who do not want a full .75" drop to achieve a 3/8" drop. This can be used to fine tune your drop if you have aftermarket springs and want to raise things up a bit or if you just don't want to lower your car the full 3/4".
Note: Works with Paragon Front Lift Lowering Collars and Paragon 20mm Spacers. Cars equipped with all 3 (lowering collars, 20mm spacers and springs) will need to run front camber of -1.5 degrees.
Note: Professional installation recommended. Socket and De-Pin Tool recommended for self installation.
