Choosing the Right Wheel & Tire Accessories for Your Camaro

Some aftermarket wheel setups use hub-centric rings to adapt the wheel's center bore to the vehicle hub. The ring dimensions must match both the wheel and vehicle.
5th Gen vs. 6th Gen Camaro Center Caps
This is one of the easiest Camaro wheel-accessory fitment details to get wrong. 5th Gen and 6th Gen Camaro center caps use different mounting sizes and are not automatically interchangeable. The correct center cap is determined by the wheel it is being installed into, not simply by the generation of Camaro the wheel is currently mounted on.
Used on compatible 2010–2015 Camaro factory wheels and 5th Gen-style replica wheels designed around the same center-cap mounting size.
Used on compatible 2016–2024 Camaro factory wheels and 6th Gen-style replica wheels designed around the larger center-cap mounting size.
Match the Center Cap to the Wheel Generation — Not Just the Car
If you have a 5th Gen-style wheel, use the center cap designed for that 5th Gen wheel. If you have a 6th Gen-style wheel, use the center cap designed for that 6th Gen wheel.
This remains true even when a wheel from one Camaro generation is installed on a Camaro from another generation.
5th Gen Z/28 Wheel Installed on a 6th Gen Camaro
Even though the wheel is installed on a 6th Gen Camaro, the wheel itself is based on a 5th Gen Z/28 wheel design. Therefore, it still requires the center cap that fits the 5th Gen wheel. Installing that wheel on a 6th Gen Camaro does not change the center-cap opening built into the wheel.
Use the 57.15mm / 2 1/4" Style
Compatible factory 5th Gen wheels and 5th Gen-style replica wheels require the center-cap size and retention design specified for that wheel. This remains true when the wheel is installed on a 6th Gen Camaro.
Use the 66.675mm / 2 5/8" Style
Compatible factory 6th Gen wheels and 6th Gen-style replica wheels require the larger center-cap mounting size specified for that wheel, regardless of which compatible Camaro the wheel is installed on.
What Else Should You Check When Buying a Center Cap?
Generation is only part of center-cap fitment. The mounting diameter, retention design and exact wheel also need to match.
Wheel Design
Identify the exact factory or replica wheel first. Similar-looking Camaro wheels can still use different center caps.
