CAMARO WHEEL & TIRE GUIDE

Building the Right Camaro Wheel & Tire Setup

A complete Camaro wheel and tire setup involves more than choosing a wheel style. Wheel dimensions, tire size, brake clearance, lug hardware and the way the car is used all play a role in putting together the right combination.

WHERE TO START

Choosing a Camaro Wheel & Tire Setup

Start with how the Camaro will be used, then choose wheels and tires that work together with the vehicle's suspension, brakes and available clearance.

Daily Driving

For a regularly driven Camaro, consider tire availability, ride quality, tread life, wet-weather performance and replacement cost along with wheel appearance and fitment.

Performance Street

Performance-oriented setups may use wider wheels and tires or a staggered combination. Wheel offset, brake clearance and tire dimensions become increasingly important as wheel and tire width increases.

Drag Racing

Drag-oriented setups can use lightweight wheels and specialized rear tires. Smaller wheel diameters may allow additional tire sidewall, but brake clearance must be verified before changing wheel diameter.

COMPLETE THE SETUP

Make Sure the Wheels, Tires & Hardware Work Together

Each component in the wheel and tire setup needs to be compatible with both the Camaro and the other components being installed.

Wheel & Tire Sizing

Tire size should be appropriate for the wheel width while maintaining sufficient suspension and body clearance. Overall tire diameter should also be considered when changing from the factory setup.

Brake Clearance

Camaro SS, 1LE, ZL1 and other performance brake packages can require additional wheel clearance. Wheel diameter alone does not guarantee clearance around the calipers.

Lug Hardware

Aftermarket wheels may require a particular lug-nut seat style or hardware configuration. Verify the wheel manufacturer's requirements before reusing factory lug nuts.

FITMENT MATTERS

2010–2024 Camaro Wheel & Tire Fitment

Camaro wheel and tire fitment varies by generation, trim, brake package, suspension setup and the dimensions of both the wheel and tire.

5TH GENERATION

2010–2015 Camaro

Fifth-generation Camaro setups should account for wheel width, offset, tire dimensions and brake clearance. SS, 1LE, ZL1 and Z/28 applications can have different fitment considerations.

6TH GENERATION

2016–2024 Camaro

Sixth-generation fitment also varies by trim and brake package. LT, LT1, SS, 1LE and ZL1 applications should be matched to wheels and tires with appropriate dimensions and clearance.

Important: Do not choose a Camaro wheel and tire setup by bolt pattern or wheel diameter alone. Verify wheel width, offset, tire size, brake clearance, lug hardware and the complete vehicle application.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Camaro Wheels & Tires FAQ

What bolt pattern does a 2010–2024 Camaro use?

2010–2024 Chevrolet Camaro models use a 5x120 wheel bolt pattern. Bolt pattern alone does not guarantee wheel fitment, so width, offset, center bore, brake clearance and tire dimensions should also be verified.

Can I buy Camaro wheel and tire packages?

Complete wheel and tire combinations can simplify the process of matching compatible components. Exact availability varies by wheel, tire and Camaro application.

Do the same wheels fit 5th and 6th Gen Camaros?

Some aftermarket wheels have applications covering both generations, but fitment should not be assumed from the shared 5x120 bolt pattern alone. Width, offset, center bore, tire size and brake clearance still need to be verified.

What is a staggered Camaro wheel and tire setup?

A staggered setup uses wider rear wheels and tires than the front. This allows a wider rear tire while maintaining a different front wheel and tire size appropriate for steering and vehicle clearance.

Do I need special lug nuts for aftermarket Camaro wheels?

Sometimes. Aftermarket wheels can require a different lug-nut seat shape, diameter or hardware design than the factory wheel. Check the wheel manufacturer's requirements before installation.

Will aftermarket wheels clear Camaro Brembo brakes?

It depends on the wheel. Brake clearance is affected by wheel diameter, barrel shape, spoke profile, width and offset. Verify compatibility with the exact Camaro brake package before ordering.

Can I put wider tires on my factory Camaro wheels?

Tire manufacturers specify an approved wheel-width range for each tire size. A wider tire should only be used when it is appropriate for the wheel width and there is sufficient vehicle clearance.

What should I check before ordering Camaro wheels and tires?

Verify the Camaro's year, trim and brake package along with wheel diameter, width and offset, tire size, brake and suspension clearance, and required lug hardware. Modified suspension or brakes can also affect fitment.
