The Powermaster 9509 XS Torque Infi-Clock™ Mini Starter is engineered for high-compression LS and LSX applications where clearance, reliability, and cranking power are critical. Producing 200 ft-lbs of torque, up to 1.8 horsepower (1.4 kW), and capable of starting engines up to an 18.0:1 compression ratio, this starter delivers strong, consistent performance for demanding street and race builds.A 4.4:1 gear reduction multiplies torque while reducing current draw. The Infi-Clock™ billet aluminum mounting block allows full 360-degree rotation for precise clocking to maximize clearance around headers, oil pans, and tight engine bays. An encapsulated solenoid helps prevent heat soak and hot-start problems, and each unit is individually dyno tested with proof of performance. Starter bolts and shims are included for proper pinion-to-ring gear engagement during installation.

Important Installation Note: Starter heat wraps or thermal shields are not recommended. Wrapping the starter can trap heat and lead to overheating, reduced performance, or internal damage. Powermaster XS Torque starters are designed to operate without external heat shields.
